With just a few short weeks left in the IFMA series, Drake is focused on closing the six point gap that separates him and Dustin Miller for the overall points lead. A short bout with the flu set Drake back from leading the series, where he is tied win for win with Dustin, the 2001 series champion. 2002 has been a great year for Dmac so far. Coupled with the IFMA series lead, Drake is featured in Jeremy McGraths "SR3- New Blood", and will be competing in the X Games qualifiers in Chicago and Cleveland. At a sold out event in Chicago Drake commented, "I am so glad to be healthy and to be doing so well. I missed some key events last year after breaking my leg on the Blue Torch TV Moto Survival Tour, and I have really made an effort to come back strong with new tricks. My family and fans have really been behind me and I can't wait for X and Gravity this Summer".

					Drake is also a top pick for the 2002 FreestyleMX.com Tour which kicks off in May and will tour the whole country. "This Summer should be a great time for fans of Freestyle. I look forward to riding outdoors again, and polishing up some new tricks. Working with Marc Burnett and the FreestyleMX.com tour gives me time to ride my skateboard and BMX on the road. The shows we put on are some of the most intense that I do all year. It is like doing all three X Games competitions in one night. Fans love it too, and it is where a lot of us practice and bust out our new tricks". Be sure to check back regularly for photos and stories from Drake as he pushes through a hectic 2002 schedule. It is tough being away from my family and friends in Nevada, but everyone is so supportive of my riding it really makes the success I have had so far worth it."
